ALS teachers and learners alike have noticed discrepancies between the official memos released by Commission on Higher Education and the Certificate of Ratings released by Bureau of Education Assessment. On the most recent CORs provided by BEA, we are erroneously labeled as Junior High School passers only, when in fact, as part of the old Basic Education Curriculum, we are High School graduates and therefore are eligible for college. Due to this glaring blunder, the majority of HEIs would not accept us as college freshmen even if it is their prerogative to do so.
